- Auvergne is situated in the centre of France, with access to the French and European territory. Due to its mountainous geography, the region used to be isolated from the major roads but today there is a strong willingness to create new infrastructures to develop the transport links in the area.
- Auvergne region is currently not directly served by any low-cost airline, but is accessible by train and motorway or from neigbouring airports.
