- Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur boasts an exceptional hotel housing stock, both in diversity and in quantity with more than 138,600 beds. It ranks 2nd when it comes to national hotel capacity
and the activity is a significant input for the region’s economy.
- The some 2,130 establishments offer a pretty high hotel density of 3 beds for 100 inhabitants. The average capacity in beds tends to grow, especially in multinationals. Upscale
establishments are more and more numerous whilst the number of 1 and 2 star hotels decreases.
- Most of the hotels are situated along the seashore. The Alpes Maritimes department accounts for 32% of Paca’s hotel housing stock, followed by Var (22%) and Bouches du Rhône (20%).
